If you are dissatisfied with your therapist or have a complaint, you don’t have to keep it to yourself. There are several ways to express your dissatisfaction.
1.Talk to your therapist
Although the members of the Shiatsu Association Netherlands use their expertise and dedication to deal with your request for help in a responsible and respectful manner, it is possible that you are not satisfied with the treatment or the way it has been given.
In such a case, we recommend that you start a conversation with your therapist. After all, it may be that you had different expectations of the treatment or way to handle. A conversation can solve a lot.
2.Contact person for Complaints
Do you need support during a conversation or don’t you see any added value in such and/or do you have other questions? You can contact the Shiatsu Association Netherlands responsible Person. In this case, complete the complaint form and send it in a sealed envelope to
ter attentie van de contactpersoon
Beetslaan 78
2281 TL Rijswijk
You can also send the complaint form directly by e-mail to > contact@shiatsuvereniging.nl
The responsible person within the Association will contact you. If desired, he/she can engage a complaints officer. This complaints officer is employed by the SCAG and works independently of the therapist and the professional association. He/she will support you in formulating your complaint and together with you, he/she will look at the options available to find an answer for your complaint.
4. Disputes Committee
If the support of the complaints officer has not led to a satisfactory result, there is still the possibility to submit your complaint to a disputes committee. The complaints officer will explain how this works.
5. Disciplinary Board
If the previous steps did not help, you can submit your complaint to the Complementary Care Disciplinary Law Foundation (TCZ). The TCZ monitors the quality of professional practice within complementary care.
